Are You Content?

Dear ,

I’m writing to you from the hills of the Blue Mountains, inside my tent, in the middle of heavy rain. The kind of rain that feels ancient and intimate.

And guess what?

I am not just happy.

I am content.

Then, out of nowhere, one of the tent poles slipped loose. I watched the fabric strain against the storm—pulling, shuddering, holding.

I had a choice:

Do I step out into the rain to secure the pole, or trust that the remaining tent stakes will keep everything steady?

It made me think about us—humans—when life shakes something loose.

How often have you been the one holding yourself together while others quietly watched… unsure whether you would collapse or remain standing?

How often have you faced a storm that asked you to choose between fear and steadiness?

This moment in my tent reminded me of something I teach often but have to practice again myself:

Contentment isn’t about everything being perfect.

It’s about choosing the part of you that stays anchored.

Sitting in the middle of this storm in the rainforest, I created a gentle reflection worksheet called:

ANCHORED

The Art of Contentment in Uncertain Times
