What have you been silencing to keep the peace?

Today is my younger brother's birthday.
As I thought about him this morning, I found myself reflecting on leadership. He leads one of the most powerful government entities. And it is a testament to his strength, that so few people are even aware of the ministry in which he works.
People often see the decisions, the responsibility, the confidence, and the results. What they don't always see are the sleepless nights, the difficult choices, the weight of carrying responsibility for others, and the quiet moments of self-doubt that many leaders experience.
Leadership can be lonely.
And that is why the people who stand beside leaders matter so much.
The partners, spouses, family members, friends, and communities who listen, encourage, challenge, support, and sometimes simply sit quietly beside us when the burden feels heavy.
No one leads alone.
Today's Tender Tuesday reflection asks:
What have you been silencing to keep the peace?
For some leaders, it may be exhaustion.
For some, grief.
For some, a dream.
For some, a need for support.
Strength is not pretending you don't need people.
Strength is allowing yourself to be supported while carrying what you are called to carry.
💛 Happy Birthday to my brother, Chris. Thank you for the leadership you provide and for the reminder that even the strongest among us need encouragement, connection, and care.
What support are you grateful for today, ? Pleasee reply and share that with me. I would really like to know.
