A Message of Gratitude to Yourself
Sep 18, 2024 12:00 pm
Dear ,
I hope this email finds you in a moment of peace. Today, I want to share a powerful thought with you:
Tell yourself
"Thank You"
These two simple words carry immense weight, especially for those of us who have weathered storms of abuse. In the chaos and pain of those experiences, we often forget to acknowledge our own strength and resilience.
Take a moment right now. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and say to yourself: "Thank you."
Thank you for surviving.
Thank you for not giving up.
Thank you for seeking help and support.
Thank you for believing in the possibility of healing.
Thank you for every small step you've taken towards reclaiming your life.
, it's easy to focus on what we haven't achieved or how far we still have to go. But today, I invite you to pause and recognize how far you've come. Your journey hasn't been easy, but you're here. You're reading this. You're still moving forward.
Remember, healing isn't linear. Some days are harder than others, and that's okay. On those difficult days, telling yourself "thank you" can be a powerful act of self-compassion.
You are worthy of kindness, especially from yourself. Your strength is remarkable, even if you don't always feel it. By thanking yourself, you're acknowledging your journey and honoring your resilience.
So, once more: Thank you. Thank you for being you, for persevering, and for continuing to grow and heal.
You are seen. You are valued. And you have so much to be thankful for within yourself.
With warmth and support,
Dr Sandra Hamilton
