Stop Flying In Circles

Hey ,

I'll admit it. I'm a nature lover, though not quite a tree hugger. But I'll pause to watch a sunrise, smell the earth after rain, and whisper "wow" when a bird soars overhead or I see mountains covered in fog.

Yesterday on my morning walk, I heard the wild, sharp cry of a hawk. I watched it circle overhead. Beautiful, with no hesitation, no second-guessing. Just pure, unapologetic presence. Present in a way that made me stop in my tracks.

And I thought... that's it.

That's what so many of us have been taught to lose. That quiet knowing. That unapologetic presence. That "I belong here" energy.

Can you relate? Instead, we were taught to make ourselves small. To whisper when we wanted to roar. To check the room before showing up fully. To ask, "Is this okay?" before simply being.

After years of walking beside people who've come through the fire of leadership, loneliness, abuse, abandonment, sabotage etc, I've learned that pain doesn't make you weak. It makes you wise. (Trust me on this—learning to cope, anticipate, develop foresight, inner strength, grit, and resilience is a skill.)

The scars we suffer, endure, and try to hide are really your testimony to greatness, even though you might not think so.

Your voice, even when you whisper, can have tremendous impact. Shaky as it may be, it can move mountains.

We were made to fly like that hawk. Graceful, yes, but also focused and vicious when need be. Able to get the task done without asking anyone's approval. A force to be reckoned with.

Stop flying in circles—unless you're circling your prey, getting more focused on your vision. Make sure your circles aren't about people-pleasing, self-doubt, sabotage, or self-hatred.

Fly free. Remember: you were never meant to perch quietly on someone else's branch. Own the tree.

Hawks command space.

They don’t fly in flocks. Hawks don’t perch just to be polite. They rise when they’re ready, and they don’t wait for the others to catch up. You are the same.

And maybe—just maybe—that's what you're being asked to do too.

I’d love to hear what this stirred in you.

Does any part of this mirror your journey ?

Have you ever felt the call to rise, even when no one else understood why?

Hit reply and tell me how this resonates with where you are.

I read every note, and your story matters more than you know.

With breath, boldness, and the scent of morning rain,
