Stop and reflect - you deserve a pat on the back

HELLOOO !
It's June already—wow! We’re halfway through the year. In one of my volunteer organizations, YMI (mission partners to the YMCA), this is the time we stop and reflect on what we’ve achieved so far.
How about you? Is it time for you to take stock of what you’ve accomplished this year and compare that to what you had set out to achieve?
Let’s be intentional. Stop and pat yourself on the back—that’s an order, . Why, you ask? Because you’ve made it this far, and that is a major accomplishment. You’ve made it to June without being snowed under by self-doubt. This simple achievement is a testament to your resilience.
Chances are that you’ve taken your eye off the ball a couple of times, and it got away. But it’s also possible that you’ve achieved more than you think you have. While you were busy living life, you may have accomplished things without even noticing it.
Reflecting on your progress reminds you of the challenges you have overcome and the obstacles you have conquered. It serves as a reminder that you are capable of achieving great things and that you have the strength to keep moving forward. When you see the progress you have made, it instills a sense of confidence and determination to continue on your path.
Now, get out your paper (I feel like a school teacher ). Write down six things that you’ve taken a chance on this year. It could be starting a journal or mindset habits, or attending a workshop despite resistance or skepticism. It could be that you’ve learned to relax a bit and not be so uptight around family or at social events. What is it for you, ?
For me, my major achievement is learning to trust and not getting bogged down by details. It's about opening myself up to knowing that things will be alright. It’s a subtle mental shift, but powerful—not worrying about things that I have no control over.
Remember that healing and growth are not linear processes. There will be ups and downs along the way, and that is perfectly normal.
, Setbacks are a natural part of the journey. Be gentle with yourself during difficult times and keep in mind that setbacks do not define your progress nor who you are. Instead, they provide valuable learning experiences and opportunities for growth.
, Raise a toast to all that you have accomplished, who you have grown into, and who you are becoming.
