Today it's confession time. I live a very unorganised life 🥴.
One of my young nephews has his birthday in early March. So several weeks ago I bought him a card (because Auntie Andrea always sends birthday cards).
When I got home, I took the receipt out of my bag and put it with a few other papers. But I didn't take the card out of my bag - I needed to write it and post it.
I didn't do it on the day I had planned. So on Saturday morning I went to my bag to get the card and write it.
The only problem - there was no card!!
I thought that maybe I didn't buy it, I just dreamed I had - except I had the receipt as proof. Yes, I could find the receipt!
Where could it be? It was in my bag with books and sheets I use for my English classes. So I looked in the things for the classes I had taken in the previous (1) couple of days.
Nothing.
I looked through the sheets I have for all my classes.
Still nothing!
Around this time I really thought I was going crazy!!
I even took out the English book I had used with my last class and flipped through that, in case the card was in it.
Nothing!
I couldn't think of anywhere else to look, so I left it.
I went into Frankfurt and bought another card! I felt sure the first card would turn up (2) and when it did, I could send it to one of my other nephews.
Sunday evening I wrote the card and put it in my bag, ready to post. Then I started preparing my classes for Monday morning.
They were new classes. I took out the books I needed from my shelf, where they were with materials for other classes.
And in the first book, guess what I found? The card I had been looking for!
I was so relieved I had solved the mystery.
