Cobra... chicken?

Dear humans,

Every rare now and again, the female stumbles upon something so perfect she must stop, stare, and simply enjoy it. On the twitter, a gentleman told a story of how someone he knows who speaks English as their second language met... a Canadian goose. (A Canada goose for those who live in the regions that call them that. We grew up in a region that calls them Canadian geese.)

The goose had made a nest near the paddock gate, and it hissed at the gentleman as he went by to handle some horses. Upon his return, he told the gentleman on twitter he "Did not like the cobra chicken."

That is the story of how the female will now be writing a book called Cobra Chicken, and how the characters will argue between Canada goose and Canadian goose into all eternity.

We love people who are amazeballs enough to learn a second language. The female tries, and her brain explodes. From cobra chickens to people looking for the hats for their pots, those who speak a second language just bring so much joy to people like me, who appreciate the effort they put in to find the right word.

Life would be much more dreary without them.

The story will involve two species of avian shifters or lycanthropes, and the female is undecided on if they'll be shifters or lycanthropes.

She plans on having a great deal of fun, as cobra chickens are mean, and that means she gets to do fun things she doesn't normally get to do.

No ETA. The female has a great deal of catching up to do to finish Booked for Murder and other stuff on time. It is not going to be pretty. At current estimate, she will get her next real day off... in January 2021.

Yeah. Next year will not have as many releases, as she wants to have a functional heart by the end of next year. (Read: there won't be as many releases up for preorder. Books will show up as they're finished.)

That is your writing update for now. Have a nice day, humans!

(Have a lovely Memorial day wherever you might be. It's business as usual for us, so off we go!)
