The weather outside is.... itch inducing? The female needs coffee.

Apr 12, 2020 11:33 pm

Dear humans,

The coffee machine is going brrbrrhisssswhrrrburrr. Those are the sounds of "coffee is not yet ready." The female does not like these sounds, because the weather outside is beyond itch inducing, and she needs coffee to deal with this shit.

Every plant in the state is going haywire. The area has undergone a somewhat drastic micro climate change. We suppose no cars and no factories equals clear skies, and the atmosphere just doesn't know how to deal with this.

It's April. It's behaving like winter here. Rain. Rain. More rain. It's supposed to be a desert. This specific desert has rain into early March as a general rule.

According to the sky, there shall be a rainy temper tantrum soon.

The rainy temper tantrums make the female's knee hurt. She is very tired of her knee hurting. (Old injury. She can detect the weather now!)

As in "Is there weather? yes/no. If no, her knee is quiet. If yes, ouch.

Poor female. You'll probably survive.

To those who celebrate the holiday today, have a happy holiday and stay safe at home.

Oh! The coffee machine has fallen silent. That means she can make coffee!

(This email transmission has been interrupted due to coffee.)

The female has been safely given coffee. Us felines managed the situation well, and no females or males were harmed in the morning coffee acquisition. I come to you with news! Glorious news!

First, the female has finally admitted it. She is a child. She got a bath bomb in a little black cauldron, and she spent an abnormally long amount of time filling the cauldron with various soaps to make it bubble. She had a great deal of fun doing this. She splished, she splashed, and when the male came to see what she was doing, she even showed him her little black cauldron full of bubbles.

He promptly left the situation.

(Look, when you live in a teeny tiny apartment and the woman of the house takes 3 hour long baths, there is an open door policy for the sole bathroom. It's either that or time-limited baths, and that is simply not allowed.)

Please enjoy this picture of my sister on her hammock. She likes her hammock very much.

Now that we have had some fun and games, the female is working on fun book stuff!

With the Royal States series becoming almost as popular as the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series, the female has done some major work and investment on the series for moving forward. She is very excited. She really prefers "staggering" what she works on. It keeps fresh and interesting and enjoyable for her. It lets her chase fun ideas, different types of characters, and so on.

She doesn't want to write the same story over and over. (She doesn't like reading the same exact story over and over, so she doesn't want to write the same exact story over and over.) She will revisit tropes... like, who doesn't enjoy a good kidnapping? What about those adorkable animals? Sometimes she just wants an insta-lust to love story. Sometimes she wants a slow burn where the characters don't even have fade-to-black sex during the book because the book is about them overcoming their problems.

Sometimes she just wants an instant-love story where the characters are totally in love, shacking it up, and making a hasty relationship work because relationships are hard.

Sometimes she wants to revisit old couples and write a story about them keeping the love going despite the years and challenges.

In her perfect world, she really would get to write a Mag Rom Com, a Royal States, and then a Bernadette Franklin book followed up with a passion project until she wrote every book she forever wants to write.

Well, even more perfect would be Mag Rom Com, Royal States, Fox Witch World, Bernadette, and then a Passion Project.

She likes variety. Variety is the spice of life.

She will be tacking on the "revisits of couples" stories into the Royal States series as they are published, and every rare blue moon, she may reorder the series based on chronological order. The opening of the description of any new titles will inform you where the story takes place.

Yesterday, she started Pat #3. She figured out something that will be added to Pat #2. Pat #2 and Pat #3 will have some interesting tidbits for an upcoming Royal States. View it as how Null and Void led to Storm Called, and how I ultimately created the prequel to support the events later in the world. I'm doing the same with a later book.

Both Pat #2 and Pat #3 are extras, but they both present something interesting about the Royal States world. Something interesting and important. But like with all the Royal States books, they are mostly stand alone although they do support the rest of the series.

It's complicated. Oy. If you think trying to figure out where all the little threads go, try writing it. The female is like ahhha hhhhhhhhhaaaahahah why do I do this to myself?!

Duh, female. You're crazy, that's what you do that to yourself.

Here is your teaser from Pat #3: "Food-thieving tyrants."

That's it. You shall be forced to wonder who the food-thieving tyrants are... for now.

P.S.: Grave Humor is finished and with the editor. It is Sunday, April 12, 2020 for those of you who have been sucked into Mapray. (March-April-May. Mapray.)

Food thieving tyrants can only be cats. We have two that try that all the time.
avatar Bernadette
Food thieving tyrants, hmm I have two of those. A tuxedo cat Sophia and a calico Myrha wonderful kitties.

Are you crazy? Yes, very likely. Is it the good kind of crazy? Yes, most definitely. Kidnappings and food thieving tyrants are both excellent fun. Even more so if they’re in the same book. Sorry about all the allergy itching, you deserve better from the world. Even if you do love to tease and torture your loyal readers......

It is a very nice hammock though I was using a couch with 1 of my cats on me to finish Water Witch.

Hmmm. Food thieving tyrants are either Will and Mackenzie or cats. At the outside its Mireya and Adam, but I'm going to stick with my first guess of Will a and Mackenzie
