The female is being crazy again. I don't have enough treats for this.

Dear humans,

Paint me like a French girl and tell me you love me.

I need a lot of love this morning. The female is being crazy again. She has, after testing out an ad on facebook, decided she's going to attempt to advertise her way to USA Today with Grave Humor... and Whatever for Hire. Yeah. Both.

She's freaking out of her mind.

So, please forgive the more workie-workie type of post today. She seems to think us felines actually have a job to do. And that job is not to be her slave. It's to entertain. But nooooooo, she wants to make sure readers find out about this stuff.

I think she's taking this whole divide and conquer thing a bit too far!

So, stolen from facebook. Here's the deal, in the female's words, slightly modified:

So, I'm committing to at least *attempting* to make a USA Today run on Grave Humor. If you see an ad for Grave Humor kicking around, please drop a comment about how you're looking forward to the book or have preordered it, hit the <3 button, and give it a click! All of these things really, really help. (It teaches Facebook the ad is desirable!)

For the 'giveaway' this go around, I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to randomly select people who are receiving a postcard, letter, or regular card to receive a package in addition to the letter or card.

If you want a postcard, please make sure you leave a comment in the last box specifying you want a post card. (It will be a Royal States post card, but I might have a few Mag Rom Com ones made, too.)

So, fill out the form here if you haven't already.

How can you help? There are a lot of ways.

1: On May 12, 2020, share the book with your friends. (Make the post public, write a very short blurb about why you love the series, and drop a link to Grave Humor.

Here are the links. We have left them intact so you can copy paste them easily. Or so we hope.

Amazon: https://amzn.to/2RE88rN

Barnes & Noble: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/grave-humor-r-j-blain/1133374336?ean=2940160871301

Kobo: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/grave-humor-3

Apple Books: https://books.apple.com/us/book/grave-humor/id1479114815

2: If you can and are so inclined, snag a copy for yourself or a friend at one of the *non* Amazon vendors on the US sites. (I know this is hard for my international friends, but you're SO loved, too.) The Amazon sales are also really important, but if the other vendors don't report that books were sold at their sites, the book doesn't qualify at all. (To qualify, one of the non-Amazon vendors must report at least one ebook sale at their venue.)

Barnes & Noble is in fiscal trouble, so please be aware of that. Right now, Apple Books and the Kobo US site are my preferred vendors for wide sales. (And I CANNOT praise the Kobo Forma e-reader enough. The Kobo Aura is also a delightful e-reader. The Kobo is my favorite of the lot, although I still buy on Amazon. It's expensive buying my favorites over at Kobo to start that e-reader with my favorite books, but I'm getting there!!)

3: As mentioned above, click the FB link if you spot the ad for Grave Humor floating around, and tell people what you think about the series/express excitement this book is coming out.

4: Leave a review on release day if you have a chance to read the book right at drop. Review during release week can really help the book shine.

5: Should Whatever for Hire get a bookbub deal (Imma hoping and all that shiny stuff) several old friends from that book make an appearance.

6: Order the book on release day if you haven't preordered because you don't preorder.

Truth be told, between all the vendors, I expect I'll need to somehow get 2,000 more sales between today and the end of release week to list, but it would be just *amazing* if it were to happen.

7: if you have a blog or newsletter, tell your friends about Grave Humor, and then pop up to the form above and leave a note in the comment box, and I'll send you a small thank-you gift for being so kind. <3

The female is now going to be working on Doggone Mess and needs the computer. She's also working on Dawn of Dae. Progress is being made on both, but stress levels are still high. She is also having a pretty severe tendonitis flare, but she's able to work through the HOLY FUCKING SHITBALLS THAT HURTS pain.

And yeah. Not a good time to be getting tendonitis, since going to PT is currently a solid "nope, not happening."

Wish the female luck. She's slightly terrified over what she's doing to make Grave Humor shine.

Fun fact: Grave Humor was the first custom cover she ever made with Rebecca Frank, and it was designed around her birthday, and it was held back so it could have a birthday slot. This is a super special birthday book. And she loves the book itself.

I have yet to see one of your ads on Facebook, so if it's possible to send a link to it I will cheer it on. I was able to post to Good Reads. I SO want you to make USA Today.
