We all struggle with decision-making. Really. No one makes perfect decisions all the time. But if you want to be a bit more efficient and build better mental muscle, try this.  

It’s easier to think about what you don’t want and eliminate things one by one than it is to make yet another vision board or blue sky the crap out of everything. Buddhist monks use a similar practice where they isolate what isn’t enlightenment, Not this, not this, not this, each decision getting closer to the truth. 

In case you really want to nerd out or relive your stoner undergrad days, check out Zeno’s Dichotomy Paradox, which illustrates this practice mathematically. Remember, we will never arrive at the destination, otherwise known as perfection, but we can get closer each time, and that’s the point.
