A lot of my clients have been asking me recently about giving virtual assistants access to certain things like bank statements and logins.

Here’s a good workaround if you're not ready to share private information.

So I get two checks every month from a rental property. Like actual paper checks. It's like the only paper checks. I pretty much get at this point. And then I think I've talked about that before too.

So I wanted a VA to go in every month and just see if the deposits had been made. And if they hadn't been to follow up. Now it's not worth giving a VA banking access for a simple task like that. So, I use a tool called filethis.com, which I highly recommend everybody use.

All it does is download PDF statements from banks, brokerage accounts, utility companies, and mortgages, automatically into your Dropbox or Google Drive every month. Then I made a simple Zapier trigger that says, “Anytime there is a new document in that folder for that particular property, send that PDF to the VA. So the person would only be looking at two deposits. If one is missing contact the person who didn’t pay. So I’m able to give an assistant or provider access to the information that they need without giving them access to the system itself.

Cool right? I bet you have a dozen different uses for this type of process and please let me know what you build.
