A walk by the Sea

image

Went for a lovely walk by the sea this week. Beautiful calm, sparkly sea, a very fresh wind. A lovely way to blow away the cobwebs.

After my numerous bugs, I'm at last feeling much more myself, and don't have to stop several times to catch my breath as I have the last few times we've been out.

My husband loves a walk along a sea front, followed by lunch somewhere of course!

Isn't that beautiful!

Choir! Choir! Choir!

The UK tour

On Friday night, 30+ very excited members of the Cake and Wine Club Choir piled into 2 mini-buses and boogied off down to the bright lights of Brighton. We were off to see Choir! Choir! Choir!

The concept is a simple one - 2 charismatic men are on stage and whip up an entire auditorium to sing, sing, sing. It's an absolute blast. I couldn't hear myself think, let along sing, but boy, did I, and everyone else, have fun. And both mini-buses were buzzing all the way home.

This is us singing Eurythymics, full throated. If you look carefully, you'll be able to see me in the third row, near the middle.

Want to do it all again now!

On Saturday, (yes the next day, I'm surprised I could still speak, let alone sing!) we went for a gig at a nearby sheltered housing, where one of our best loved members lives. The residents loved it, singing along, knowing all the words. Heathfield has such a great community vibe, very supportive, as many friends as you can handle, and all looking after each other.

Then on Sunday it was our regular rehearsal! Still had a voice! No rehearsal next week, as its Easter Sunday and most people said they'd be with family.

Hair cuts

Had my regular 6 weekly hair cut last week, but my hair hadn't grown very much and she just did a tidy up. Wonder if that was because I had been unwell for so long?

So instead of 6 weeks, as usual, I'm leaving it 8 weeks until the next one.

An Easter Family Meal Plan

A family meal plan for Easter week at £1.60 each per day - not bad!

Easter Meal Plan

I published an ebook for meal plan 1 in August 2021 and am delighted that many people have thought it was worth getting. I repriced it again in June 2022 and it was still holding on, even in these scary times. Now we are in September and prices have shifted again and

I've managed to get my head around WooCommerce so I can feature it on the blog and you can find it here.

I was busy recooking, photographing and updating the recipes for Meal Plan 2 and putting them into an ebook as well. The meal plan was first written in 2013 and still prices up, which is fabulous and that is finally complete. The book is done now too, prices seem to be stable enough to do it.

I'm well into creating an e-book from the Stretch A Chicken To Last A Week series, hope it won't be long before it's finished. Got a couple of images to take, which means cooking the recipe, and 1 more recipe to write up.
