a few tips on what most clients are doing to achieve this without having to go through a full kitchen remodel.
A lot of homes used to have a double level island, bar or peninsula integrated in
the kitchen that could be used to entertain or simply for the extra space to place
food and drinks during the gatherings.
Nowadays, families are investing more and more in open concept and extra sitting space in the kitchen. This is great not only for the extra sitting space but also because it helps the rom feel more spacious.
When tearing down walls, re-doing cabinetry and countertops becomes too much and takes too long, you can still have a beautiful kitchen with the following updates.
If you have a double level island or peninsula in the kitchen area, you can lower
the higher section to create a large one level countertop. By adding a standard
12” overhang in one side, you can add chairs to provide comfortable extra
sitting space for your loved ones.
Once the bar is lowered and the new countertops are installed, it is time for a tile
back-splash upgrade and once that is in, you will be all set to host your first
