Give back by volunteering

Want to save even more money? This time on your 2025 entry?

Be part of our awesome volunteer crew! (Plus you'll have an amazing experience by giving back to the community). As a token of our thanks, every volunteer will receive:

  • Priority entry to an 2025 event of your choice for yourself, family and friends AND a 20% discount for your own 2025 entry
  • complementary finish line meal and drinks vouchers, and aid station refreshments
  • unique kMR Crew Uniform (thanks to Salomon)
  • a post event BBQ
  • the chance to win a kMR volunteer award

And if you volunteer for at least 2 shifts, we'll give you a FREE entry to this year's Foothills 9km! Please email register@kunanyimountain.run if you qualify for this and want to redeem it!

Get your gear checked

Save yourself time, and the stress, and get your mandatory gear checked before the event!

You can have it checked at Find Your Feet in Hobart and Launceston, and at Naked Trails in Wynyard, until 21 March.

But if you can't make it before event weekend, you can have your gear checked at the runHub! There will be limited mandatory gear for sale at the runHub, thanks to Find Your Feet.

Sharing Stories of "Our Mountain"

Our #kMR2024 Mountain Culture Festival starts Saturday 16 March because we know runners have struggled to find the time to enjoy our festival offerings over event weekend.

So, come spend time on the mountain, hearing and sharing stories at "Our Mountain".

The line-up includes musician Dewayne Everettsmith, photographer Peter Maarseveen, a film showing, native foods – and more!

walks with the mountain

If you (and family & friends) can make the time over event weekend, we highly recommend these special #kMR2024 walks with the mountain!

Learn how the palawa people used to live and survive on kunanyi and hear about its cultural significance. Experienced kunanyi tour guide and yorta yorta man Tasman Langford will be leading some incredible walking tours on Saturday and Sunday.

More information and the links to book your spots (which are limited) are in the Festival Booklet. Book now!

The countdown is well and truly on! We can't wait to see you soon to #runwithkunanyi and share those stories.

We acknowledge the palawa people of lutruwita as the traditional owners of the land on which we live, work and run. We respect their culture and ongoing custodianship of the land. We pay our respect to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and Elders past, present, and emerging.
