Festival Booklet: everything you'll want to know about our runs & Festival in the one place!
Feb 18, 2024 6:00 am
Hi !
With just 5 weeks to go, we're excited to share our Festival Booklet with you! Whatever event you're running, it has the info you need.
Beyond running, there's also a run expo and run recovery zone at our runHub. And yes, the ice bath and Kieser recovery massages are exclusively for runners!
But kMR is not just a trail running event - it's a Mountain Culture Festival too!
And the Festival Booklet has all the info you need (and importantly, your waiting friends & family!) about what's happening at our runHub.
(So you might like to forward this email to them!
The Booklet is also available on our website)
Drop in at your leisure across the weekend, to try your hand at bush weaving, make 'bush bling', hear about kunanyi's bush food and so much more!
These activities are all free (and kid friendly)!
walks with the mountain
We're really excited to be able to invite you to learn how the palawa people used to live and survive on kunanyi and hear about its cultural significance, in our special #kMR2024 walks with the mountain.
Experienced kunanyi tour guide and yorta yorta man Tasman Langford will be leading some incredible walking tours on Saturday and Sunday.
More information and the links to book your spots (which are limited) are in the Festival Booklet.
Sharing Stories Series
At kMR, we want to share, and celebrate, your stories!
This year, we're running a 'Sharing Stories Series': a stellar line up of QnAs being livestreamed on our Facebook page (Wednesdays at 8pm).
6 February: Nutrition tips
20 February: What to expect from the Mountain Run 25km Course and Ultra Solo
6 March: How we can better support Mum runners
And our finale (13 March) is "Harnessing our Mental Strength on the Trails" where Grace Tame (2021 Australian of the Year) & Simone Brick (Salomon runner) who are running the Mountain Run 25km, will join Run Director Lincoln Quilliam in sharing their stories with our #kMR MC, Mainy, and you!
Register to run with kunanyi
Registrations are still open if you haven't signed up to #runwithkunanyi!
Regos close 20 March
(except for the Foothills 9km and the Kids Runs, which close 23 March).
After a glorious Tassie Summer weekend that was perfect for hitting the trails, why not now pop those feet up and check out our Festival Booklet!
Lincoln and the kMR team
We acknowledge the palawa people of lutruwita as the traditional owners of the land on which we live, work and run. We respect their culture and ongoing custodianship of the land. We pay our respect to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and Elders past, present, and emerging.
