Hi !

They're calling it a "game changer"

In case you missed it, we were SUPER excited to announce our Kids Bush Play (drop-off service) for #kMR2024!

We have partnered with the amazing Free to be Bush Play and Learning, who’ll provide a drop-off Bush Play (at the runHub), for kids of our Mountain Run 25km runners (AND Ultra Relay Team members, provided you drop the kids off at 8.30am and can pick them up by 3pm).

We got so much love and great feedback to the news on socials - it makes us all warm and fuzzy to know that it will make a difference for some in our amazing community.

Here's what Nicole Bunyon, the founder of Running Mums Australia had to say:

"What a WONDERFUL initiative which I am sure so many parents will be so happy to have and will be a game changer for so many of them who might want to do this event together".

Spots are limited, so if you want to book your kids in, be quick!

Mountain Run entries will sell out

Keen on our Mountain Run 25km? We've got less than 30 spots left!!

We will open up a wait-list once we sell out, but we highly recommend you secure your place to avoid being disappointed!

Remember you can still register for #thefullepic, even if you don't have all the qualifiers - BUT you now only have around a month to get them done (qualifiers due by 6th March)!

All the info on the process and the rules on our website.

Get your #kMR2024 nutrition on the right track

Nutrition can make or break your day on the trails! So to help you prepare for #kMR2024, Karen Hill (nutritional coach but also a trail runner and MTB champ!) will share her wisdom in a virtual QnA, this Wednesday, live on Facebook.

Karen runs an online nutrition coaching business Hillistic Coaching that helps offroad endurance athletes fuel for peak performance. She'll share an example race plan using the products we’ll have stocked for you at our aid stations and recovery station (thanks to our partners Hammer Nutrition Australia and Bulk Nutrients.

And stay tuned, because we have a packed line-up of QnAs for you in the lead-up to #kMR2024.

Be inspired by our kMR Scholarships Team!

Our 2024 Scholarships Team are almost on the home stretch towards #kMR2024! January highlights included the long-weekend Training Camp, guided by Simone Brick from Salomon and RD Lincoln Quilliam.

Learn more, and help protect, Tassie's wild places

We're really proud to support the Tasmanian Land Conservancy again in 2024 (and thanks to you, for your contributions when you've signed up to run with kunanyi).

The TLC is a not-for-profit conservation organisation that protects important ecosystems by buying and managing private land across the state.

Like kunanyi, their network of reserves safeguards Tasmania's natural treasures and ensures birds like the green rosella, the yellow-tailed black cockatoo and the beautiful firetail have suitable habitat to call home.

imageimageimage

Naturally, they require ongoing management and support to ensure the resilience of these habitats. You can learn more by visiting the TLC website, subscribing to their newsletter or dropping in to see them at the kMR runHub, for a virtual tour around some of their reserves.

There's definitely lots going on, and we can't wait to keep sharing it with you!
