It is my strong contention that traditional grading methods do very little to help our students grow and mature as writers, but instead compel us to accept compulsory unpaid overtime.
Given that this antiquated grading paradigm puts 99.9% of the onus on the teacher's shoulder, the method precludes authentic learning from occurring.
In today's video, look at what happens when that ratio gets inverted when we ask students to do the heavy lifting.
This is the beauty and glory of equipping students with a workable and accessible set of templates.
