Alternative Grading Methods Two-Hour Intensive

Hello fellow ELA colleagues!

It’s time to ditch traditional, tedious grading methods and stop spending endless hours of your weekends and evenings grading heaps of essays!

Grading essays sometimes feels like shoveling a pile of smoke –a futile time-suck of a task, yet it’s a requisite part of a teacher’s job.

While you unquestionably love being in the classroom, the endless hours you spend grading essays during your “free time” is the bane of your professional existence.

You may have also realized that traditional grading methods do very little to enable your students to grow and mature as writers.

Therefore, I created the Alternative Grading Methods Two- Hour Intensive so that we can reframe how we tackle the task of grading the endless stack that is always calling us.

Here’s what you will have access to when you enroll in the session:

·        40 alternative grading methods that will alleviate the burdens and demands of grading essays and enable your students to grow and mature as writers by equipping them with the necessary tools of grammar, punctuation, and syntax in order to cultivate rhythm, flow, and voice

·        My three groundbreaking templates – the declarative and inverted thesis, as well as the syllogistic method

·        The Masterclass self-paced course (10 instructional videos that will guide you through the 40 alternative grading methods in addition to the use and application of the three templates)

·        A copy of my textbook Teaching Teachers How to Teach Writing

During our two-hour workshop, I will introduce you to the three templates and then we will look at how to grade a stack of essays using my alternative methods. By the end of our session together, you will have a clear understanding of how to reclaim your evenings and weekends and say “NO” to a tired system that neither serves you nor your students.

These alternative grading methods and templates are my brain children. I love sharing them with teachers because I can literally see my colleagues take possession of something they’ve lost along the way – their precious time and their will to be a strong and impactful presence in the classroom.

I am only going to offer the Alternative Grading Methods Two-Hour Intensive one time this summer, which will be on Saturday July 31st at 11 a.m. EST.

To enroll and reserve a space, visit my webpage at http://teachinghow2write.com/alternative-grading-methods-intensive/

The Alternative Grading Methods Two-Hour Intensive is just $247.

I am capping enrollment so that I can offer enough 1:1 time for individual instruction. Seats will fill up quickly, so reserve your spot soon.

Reach out if you have any questions or if you’d like to schedule a discovery call.

Happy teaching and happy writing!

Kristian
