That stomach-drop feeling 😩 (& what actually helps)
Feb 02, 2026 12:01 pm
You know that awful feeling when your stomach drops out of nowhere, ?
The tight chest.
The sweaty palms.
That tunnel-vision moment where it feels like the room is closing in. 😬
For a long time, I hated when my anxiety symptoms showed up—mostly because it felt like once they arrived, they weren’t leaving anytime soon.
But thank the Lord, I’ve found tools that actually help.
Now, when anxiety hits, I turn to simple things like breathwork (not the woo-woo kind 🙃) and “Name It to Tame It.” And yes—I was very skeptical at first. How was breathing—something I did all day, every day—supposed to calm a body that felt completely out of control??
But when I finally tried these tools in the moment, something shifted.
I found a small bit of peace I could grab onto.
I learned to trust God more in the middle of the spiral.
And I realized my anxiety is a response—it doesn’t get to control me anymore.
That’s my prayer for you too.
