Margin

I was thinking about Margin in our lives.

Do people strive for this anymore? We should!

We all have our fields that we are working diligently to plow whether that be homeschooling, mothering, or work.  Sometimes we think we need to pack as much in as possible to feel successful. That simply is NOT true!

Like never before people are ON THE GO!

Families have never been busier! There seems to be this thought that you must be juggling so many things to be successful. In reality though, it's just creating more stress and chaos within the home. We have to be careful and intentional not to let activity, and appointments pile up and cause us stress.

Time is a gift!

We don't know how much time the Lord has for each of us.  Why not MAKE THE MOST OF TODAY! (Yes… I meant to throw that hint 🤣hint in there about my BOOK…. Pre-order today)

The Lord doesn't want confusion, strife and stress.  Instead He wants peace, harmony, order and clarity.  1 Corinthians 14:33 "For God is not a God of confusion but of peace".  

When we don't have margin in our life we tend to have confusion and stress.  Our families will be much more at PEACE once we add in margin.

I'm really not a Social Media person, in fact I don't have it on my phone and that makes it harder to check in on, let alone post regularly. However, I see the value for sharing with a bunch of people about life and encouraging others, also for a creative outlet. I see all the negatives too (which is why I just steer clear). I love God and we are striving to honor Him, so to me things that honor the Lord should be shared about. It is so hard to keep up with posting and sharing all the time and that is why I'm so thankful for the sweetest daughter-in-law ever to take that and run with it. She is doing a great job keeping everyone up to date on our book and other things!

We changed the name because my website is not only for selling the book but for my art and other items as well. I wanted an umbrella account for all the creative endeavors including the book series. The new name is SpringKraftCreates

Stickers from my Art

One of the items I thought would be so fun would be stickers made out of my art prints. So, I designed some. I love decorating my notebooks with stickers. I like high quality ones that won't bend up. These stickers are "water bottle " quality! A few are in the shop now, more coming soon!

Time Spent

I'm in a season where I have kids that range widely in age. Gregory is married and is 26, Adam is on his own at 22, Luke is going on 17, Gideon 15, Titus 13, Annie Mae 11, and Cody is 7. I'm cherishing all the things we have going on during this season. The dynamics change so much.

Every afternoon (hopefully after school is done) we all go into our rooms for QUIET time. Since I do not have babies anymore they don't nap. Cody, Titus and Gideon share a room so it doesn't work to put them all in there together for quiet time (as you can imagine, it is not QUIET if I do that). They all have time reading quietly and then listening to a story on their Yo To player while they play quietly on their bed. Cody comes to my room for reading books to me and then we listen to a story. Sometimes this is a time for me to paint and work on newsletters or other things. I love this time with my "baby" boy. It is sweet to me. Cody has been getting so good at his reading! I'm loving listening to him get more fluent and this is when reading gets fun because they start to get really excited to read things on their own.

Having a routine QUIET time is another way you can create that MARGIN in your life. A time to S L O W down your day!

Highly recommend that you make it a priority to have a QUIET time everyday.

A Boy and His Girl

Still waiting (think Jeopardy theme song here🤣!)

I'm excited to get it here, but I guess once the two pallets hit Utah at the warehouse, they then check it all over and I'm hopeful to get a tracking number as they ship to me. I do know I will have two pallets, 42 total boxes and each box weighs 33 pounds. I guess my boys will get the workout in as they unload the boxes! Thank you all for being patient with me.
