Cute puppy alert (and some book stuff)
Jul 20, 2022 12:01 pm
Happy Wednesday !
Meet Cali. She's a 7 week old Goldendoodle. My son's girlfriend got her a couple weeks ago and we've been puppy sitting this week while they are on vacation. I forgot how much work a puppy is. She's the cutest little thing and so sweet, but she's kept us on our toes. But that face. Awww.
Cute puppy faces are sweet, but this is a newsletter about books. I digress.
I've been working on The Thing About Falling in Love and I'm hoping for a fall release. Did you see the new teaser I posted on Facebook and Instagram this week? If you are on social media, give me a follow.
I've also started planning a new beach series. I know, I know...I need to finish the one I'm working on first, but it's so exciting to think about a new location! The first cover photo models have been selected, so my mind automatically goes into cover creator mode. I love the beach and since it's my most favorite place in the world, I've always wanted to write beach book.
My birthday is next month, so stay tuned for a treat I have planned for you!
Have a wonderful week!
The Marriage Jinx

.99 cents sale for Krista's birthday!
Will a jinx keep them from happily ever after?
When my best friends and I made a pact after college to wait until we turn thirty to get married, I never thought we’d jinx ourselves. But ever since we signed our names on the dotted line, our dating lives have been one catastrophe after another. That can’t be a coincidence, right?
If that wasn't bad enough, my new boss is Lucas Abbott—my high school crush and our town’s most eligible bachelor—and the attraction I feel is definitely not one-sided this time.
But before I get too excited about that, we’ve got problems.
He’s not allowed to date employees because of a past family scandal.
His ex-wife won’t keep her nose out of his business.
And don’t forget the jinx.
Now that the guy might finally be in my life, I’m worried it will end in another disaster. But is the jinx our biggest obstacle or are deeper issues standing in our way?

Aubergine White, a talented ballerina and a self-professed mean girl, who enjoys all the advantages of being a gorgeous, rich girl at her elite New York City private school, seems to have it all, until her parents get fed up with the hustle of city life and whisk her a thousand miles away to homestead off-grid in Montana.
Soon after arriving in her exile from upscale fashion boutiques and classical theatre, Abs learns she needs a career-ending ankle surgery which leaves her completely devastated. She receives no empathy or guidance from her parents as her father is preoccupied with the on-going care of her mother’s mental health.
Aubergine’s life changes for the better when she befriends the neighbor, Fulton. Fulton was the biggest dork at her old school, but now that she is forced to spend time with him, she finds him to be kind, patient and most importantly, he shows her the compassion she had been missing. Just when she starts to trust him, a new wound is opened when Fulton finds a way to move back to New York. She becomes determined to get a one-way ticket back to the city and she is holding on to the hope that her old life—and her former boy next door—will be waiting for her when she gets there.
