Resources to help you in your career.

Hi, and happy Tuesday!
While we strive to provide as many insightful tips and advice on our own Kejar Kerjaya platform, we recognize that we live in a world where there are a lot of resources and opportunities to learn. We also recognize that we may not have all the answers to your questions or all the information you need (considering how we are a one-woman show right now).
Plus, we hate gatekeeping resources, especially if the resources can help other people out there. So, we wanted to share with you a list of career resources that you may find useful. No matter what phase you are in your career, you may find these beneficial in one way or another.
Career resources:
- Tahirah Manesah - she constantly shares posts on LinkedIn about constructive dismissal, employee rights, and more.
- Primed for Success - a platform for graduates and young professionals to network with dedicated industry mentors through regular Zoom meetings.
- CareerAddict - their newsletters bring many insightful tips and advice that can help supercharge your career.
- Resume Worded - an AI platform where you can upload your resume and a job description, and they can give you a score based on how tailored your resume is. (note: please don't take the score at face value; use it as a guide.) (additional note: they also have a Career Supplement newsletter with tons of career advice and tips!)
- ProfessionalBimbo - an HR influencer who will tell you things about HR, recruitment, job search, and more. (she is also on Instagram)
- KerjaJer - another HR influencer who shares a lot about life as an HR, recruitment, HR policies, and more.
- Career Cube Community - a Telegram group for you to ask questions, get advice, and share experiences - managed by the team at Career Cube.
- #KisahSiswa Graduate Employability Channel - a Telegram group by TalentCorp to share updates, events, and vacancies for students and graduates.
- Women Career Convention - a Telegram group by TalentCorp's Women Programme for female professionals about events and opportunities catered to women.
- Side Hustlers of MY - a Telegram group made by the MalaysianPayGap team for people to share insights and ideas about side hustles. (You can also join their Discord group here for more discussion on careers, salaries, etc).
If anyone has any others to share, please do let us know and we can do an updated list next time.

If you are thinking about potentially moving abroad to work overseas, you do not want to miss out on this panel session!
Our three panelists will share their experiences in moving abroad to work, and the challenges and reality of living in a foreign country as a young Malaysian professional.
Come with questions and learn from their personal journeys! Use the code AWESOME for RM5 off the ticket price. Attendees will also get a recording of the session so if you cannot attend the live session, you can always rewatch it later!
We are also invited to be on Dr Azhar Ahmad's webinar to talk about personal branding and how it can benefit your career journey. Join us on Thursday, 26th October at 8:30pm on Zoom. Register here for free.
[New post] Cover letters - are they really necessary?
Until we see you in the next issue, please take a moment to send a prayer (in however way you pray) to our fellow brothers and sisters in Palestine. No matter what you believe in, and what religion you follow - no humans should be going through what they are going through right now. So send your prayers, and show your support to them in whatever way that you can.
Stay safe, wherever you are. Take care & stay awesome!
Best,
Kejar Kerjaya
