Hey ,
Do you have your holiday content ideas planned yet? Are you already looking to Q1 of next year? Honestly, not matter where you are, you're doing great! Keep getting after it!
Social Media News you can Use:
Facebook Faces HUGE Lawsuit:
You may have seen this breaking news yesterday, but Facebook was sued by a bunch of states about the monopoly they have created between Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. What does this mean for us, not much at this point. It's just interesting to think about, especially when it comes to digital advertising. You can read more about it here.
Topics & Trends Report 2021
Facebook released a report about popular topics on the apps over the past year. They broke the report up into different world regions and the 4 quarters and it provides demographical information about the topics.
It's super intriguing to see on a large scale what people cared about this past year, which of course changed pretty drastically compared to the previous year. Most of the trends are still peaking here in Q4 and could be great to capitalize on through Q1 of next year.
Reddit's Year in Review
Reddit also shared they're year in review which is another GREAT resource for business owners and content creators. There is a ton of conversation going on on Reddit and it's a great platform to learn more about your ideal audience.
Both of these trend reports are an opportunity to learn more about what people are talking about. If you can join the conversation in a relevant way for your brand, t could be a gold mine.

Here are 5 ideas for content for next week (December 14th- December 18th)
Monday:
Another Holiday idea I'm going to throw out there. You could create a themed week. Think silver and gold or green and red. All of your content could fit in this theme. If you sell a product, take photos of all your colored products surrounded by your tree or ornaments. If you sell food, you could put colored ingredients, cups, table clothes in styled photos. If you are service based, create graphics on Canva in these colors. It will make your feed really festive and could be fun.
Tuesday:
Try creating a video for #tiptuesday. Maybe a high speed how-to video. Or watch a few videos on Reels or Tik Tok to get some examples of 15-30 second tip videos. I have a few in my Tik Tok feed that are easy and super fun. Sometimes I go back through my IG to find tips I've already given and I repurpose them into videos.
Wednesday:
#womencrushwednesday Ok stay with me. Take the opportunity to highlight a women-owned brand you love! Talk about how awesome they are in your feed. Be sure to tag them. Then go further in the stories. You could let them know ahead of time or surprise them. You could also make a weekly theme of this for a while. And if you're lucky, they'll repost it and maybe one day return the favor!
Thursday:
Sales day. Talk about what you sell! Maybe show some examples or include a testimonial from a current or past customer.
Friday:
#FreebieFriday...great day to promote your freebie! And if you run a group on Facebook, ask others to do the same! Freebies are an opportunity to provide free content to your followers while growing your email list. If you don't have a freebie yet, make a list of all the things you know that others might not know about (that relates to your business) and go from there. Here are some ideas for you.
Here are the Hashtag Holidays for you to create content and events around next week. That link will take you to a site that has them for the rest of the year if you want to go even further.
- December 15: #BillOfRightsDay
- December 19: Super Saturday (#SuperSaturday)
