,

The first week in January always feels so opportunistic. There is a renewed sense of determination and belief that we can actually make our goals happen.

The Christmas stuff comes down (eventually...kind of soon--right?), the kids go back to school (also eventually...) and there is space to start fresh.

What kind of rituals do you have for the beginning of the year (I'd love to know!).

This year, I got back to my mornings. I see so much peace in starting my mornings slowly and being connected to myself. I recognize not everyone has space for this sort of thing, but I wake up and free write (morning pages-esque) and then write down my gratitude and goals. After that, I spend some time reading before I get up and tackle all the things that should be done.

I also started a nutrition challenge with my gym. I've been wanting to learn how to eat better all the time rather than keep trying new diet-type things that aren't sustainable.

So tell me, what goals are you going after? What habits did you put in place at the beginning of this year? Or did you just choose to let it be and not put so much emphasis on it being the start of another year? Either way, I'd love to know!

Content ideas for 1/10-1/14

It's International Change Your Stars Month, and what better way to ring in the New Year on social media. With Instagram in head-to-head competition with Tik Tok and putting more attention than ever on short-form video, Reels are the best way to change the stars for your business's online presence. Here are some idea starters.

Mon 10- #HouseplantAppreciationDay Houseplants are a great way to spruce up videos and pictures in office spaces or home offices. If you don't already have one go pick one up at the store and make a video. This should be fun!

Tues 11- Try your hand at a transition today. The only way to get better is to practice! Take the time to search for a sound that starts slow and has a beat drop. It can be as simple as going from pajamas to being a business owner dressed and ready to conquer the day. If you need some pointers, don't hesitate to reach out.

Wed 12- Find a highly inspirational sound byte and match it up to ordinary things you or others usually do around the workplace. Examples are Working at computers, having a conversation, walking to the parking lot at the end of a hard day, or maybe a company vehicle pulling out of the lot. Meaningful sound bytes can do a lot for ordinary video clips while giving viewers a peek into day to day life of your business.

Thurs 13- #MakeYourDreamsComeTrueDay Today is your day!  Are you living out your dreams? Maybe you have a big goal this year for your business? Find a creative way to share your dreams realized or in the future with your followers.

Fri 14- #DressUpYourPetDay #OrganizeYourHomeDay Take your pick and have some fun because it's Friday. If you have a cute outfit for your pet, go that route. If not, take several time lapses on your phone of you or someone organizing one area or the house or office and set it to fast-paced music.
