For the past 3 or 4 years, I have made it a point to commit to a word of the year. The first 2 years, I feel like a made a really big deal about it. Last year I remember when the word came to me and it felt right. Then I guess I never wrote it down because for the last few months I couldn't, for the life of me, remember what it was.

Then last night I was making my 2022 vision board (another really great tradition I love to do each year). I like to flip through magazines and find words that speak to me. I cut them out then at the end try and make sense of them all.

Well, 2 things happened.

#1. My word for 2022 jumped out at me. Shine! And I'm super excited about it.

#2. My word from last year jumped out at me too...embark. And what a journey the last 365 days have been.

Content ideas for 1/3 - 1/7

It’s New Year’s Resolutions Week! Are you upping your Reels and Tik Tok game this year? Here are a few ideas and trending hashtags to get you started!

Mon 3- Starting the week strong! Today is #ThankGodItsMondayDay, AND #FestivalOfSleepDay Pick one hashtag that fits your personality and your brand voice and run with Thank God It’s Monday or A Festival of Sleep kind of day!

Tues 4- 2021 Year in Review Recaps are still big right now. It’s easy to find the right sound while scrolling through the Tik Tok Discover or Reels Explore tab. Once you have the sound picked out, continue to your camera roll back to the beginning of the year and start adding anything meaningful. Use some hashtags related to your local community or trade! 

Wed 5- #WhippedCreamDay This is a fun video idea all around! Head to your local grocery store, grab your kid or bestie, and have some fun with dessert or whipped cream. You could serve up your team a slew of ice cream sundaes topped with whipped cream in appreciation of Whipped Cream Day!

Thurs 6- Head over to Reddit or a question and answer forum and search for a chat thread associated with your specific business. Find and answer it yourself on video or use the green screen eyes and mouth for a funny effect. Need help? Reply back! 

Fri 7- Do a mini-training on your product or business. Whatever your company provides, give a quick tutorial from start to finish. Break it down into 2 or 3 videos if it’s lengthy but try to keep it as short and straightforward as possible. Remember to use bold in video titles, use a microphone for the best audio, and add captions before publishing to boost engagement.
