♻️ a must-share post every company should use before the new year

This week, I came across a post that’s the perfect blueprint for you to share a strong POV and resource with your audience before the new year.


It’s a simple post any business can use, and it surprisingly breaks a few “best practices” we’ve all been told to follow (which I love).

Why it challenges assumptions:

  • It uses a 13-minute video. Rather than post a link to YouTube or his website, he used a full-length video directly inside the feed.
  • It drops a link directly in the post. Even though his main goal is to lead with value, he still is able to naturally tie in a CTA that drives people further into his ecosystem.


I love a good post that bucks the trends. A long video with a link still got tons of engagement, shares, and likely, sign-ups for the workshop.


Why the post works so well:

  1. It starts with a clear hook: It immediately grabs attention by framing 2025 as a make-or-break year.
  2. It introduces and agitates a common problem: He describes exactly why it’s such a problem and challenges the reader to have answers.
  3. It offers a valuable solution immediately: This is the key to the whole thing. The video and live workshop are clear, actionable next steps the viewer can immediately take at varying levels of commitment.


Steal this template for your business:

Every company should share a version of this post before the year ends. Here’s how you can do it:


1. Pick a thought leadership piece: Find your best content from 2024. Maybe it’s a webinar, video, or blog post that was a hit with your audience.


2. Pair it with a valuable resource: Offer something actionable, like a past workshop, guide, or tool, to help your audience take the next step.


3. Use this template:


{Year or timeframe} is going to be a make-or-break year for {audience/industry}.


There’s never been more pressure—not just from {direct challenges or obstacles}, but from {broader market forces, trends, or external factors} that make {desired outcome} harder to achieve. {Additional context about why this challenge is critical right now.}


So how are you going to {achieve a key goal}? How are you going to {specific action or goal} in the face of {specific challenge or obstacle}?


That’s what today’s {content type: video, post, webinar, etc.} is about: {Topic or solution}.


These are the {specific actions, strategies, or tips} you need to focus on if you want to {specific outcome or transformation}.
