♻️ what's old is new again

Hey there!
You have two options when it comes to content: repurpose old stuff or create something new.
Unless you're a brand new company with no existing content, I'd recommend starting with repurposing older stuff before cranking out tons of new pieces every month.
Even when I joined Metadata as marketer #3 the first thing I did was repurpose the already well-performing content.
I started by looking back at the top-performing blogs, webinars, and videos to see what was already working well with the audience.
And once I had my list I could start repurposing those pieces into our main distribution channels.
The idea was to get them off the blog and back into the feeds where the audience was hanging out.
New Workshop: Unlock Your POVs: Stand Out, Be Consistent, and Get More Attention
Most content teams, entrepreneurs, and freelancers don't have a strong grasp on what they want to be known for.
Or how they want to talk about the products and services they offer.
So they end up talking about everything.
All the time.
It's hard to follow along and completely unmemorable.
But what if I told you there was a way to consistently stand out and resonate with your audience?
This coming week, I'm revealing my POV-development blueprint in a brand-new workshop.
These are some of the EXACT strategies I've used to help SaaS teams and content creators develop impactful POVs and dramatically increase their market presence.
If you want to create content that stands out and delivers, I highly encourage you to join me.
Now, back to why you should take some time to regenerate your older content.
By repurposing our top content across LinkedIn we grew our impressions by over 740% in under 6 months.
Repurposing content also gives you margin.
Here's another example from last December.
At the end of the year, I was in the middle of all the major planning for the Distribution First membership.
I was swamped.
And I didn't have as much time as I wanted to create new podcast episodes.
So what did I do? Stop publishing?
Nope. I repurposed old episodes and repackaged them as "Top Episodes from 2023".
The cool part was with little to no extra work on my part I was able to still drip out weekly episodes and resurface some of the best content I put out last year.
The even cooler part? Those episodes crushed.
And December was the second-best month I had all year.
All with repurposed content 🤯
Repurposing old content takes less work upfront since that content is already created.
You just need to figure out how to reuse it across other formats and channels.
Have a great week!
Justin
