Hey there,

One of the most common questions I get is: "How can I consistently get more out of my content?"

My answer: I use a simple system.

It’s a Distribution Document. 

And I use this every single week. 

I’ve tried a ton of different repurposing spreadsheets, documents, and forms and none of them stuck because they were all too complicated.

A lot of times what hangs us up is a lack of process. And the distribution doc I use is very simple, but very effective.

My main goal with the distribution doc is to break smaller themes out of the content.

For a blog, themes are based on your headlines – usually H2s and potentially H3s.

You're going to go through the entire blog post and grab every H2 and each one becomes a theme.

For a podcast or a video, they might be broken up by key topics or sections. Look for natural breaks where you might put a chapter marker.

Your goal is to get out your content x-ray goggles and start seeing all the great content hiding beneath the surface.

And once you've identified your themes you can go and write all of your social content.

Here’s the TLDR:

1. Audit your best content (blogs, podcast episodes, newsletters)

2. Chunk the content themes out into smaller pieces for social

3. Load up your distribution doc with all of your social content

4. Drip that content out on social

5. Repeat

Each week after I write this newsletter I make sure to go back and build out a quick document with a few posts.

In less than 60 minutes I can usually fill a week's worth of content for LinkedIn.

All without humming or hawing about what to write.

Or staring at a blank screen.

It's pretty sweet.

Now, do that with three blogs, videos, or podcasts you already have and you can get a month's worth of social posts in less than a few hours.
