Hey friend!

So...I can't get this thought out of my head ↓

"The future of content marketing is off the website."

For years I spent all of my efforts trying to get folks onto company websites so they could learn about what we do, how we help, and what products we sell.

We pulled people in because we had to.

Now, we need to push our content out.

You have to constantly remind yourself (and or boss) that all the content you create is worthless sitting on a website unless people see it.

It's our job not only to create the content, but to get it off our website and onto the platforms folks hang out on every day.

Places like...

  • LinkedIn
  • Reddit
  • Podcast feeds
  • YouTube
  • Inboxes
  • Etc.

Sure, we can write a blog and check a box.

We can hope Google picks it up and drives traffic to our sites.

Or, we can choose a different path.

Blogging can't be your only mode of content marketing anymore.

And moving forward the top 1% of content marketers will know...

1. how to do distribution

2. how to write newsletters

3. how to build social followings

4. how to create podcasts & video content

5. how to hook an audience with short content

If you know how to do that, you're going to lead content marketing over the next decade.

And the better we are creating content away from our website, the more impactful we'll become.

Have a great week 👊
