Today's email is brought by Content Repurposing Roadmap

Hey there!

If there's one thing I've realized working with countless marketers and businesses, it's that batching tasks is a game-changer.

Especially when it comes to repurposing content.

It's one of those strategies that sounds so simple, but so few people nail it down.

Ever since I started batching my repurposing efforts, I was able to streamline my workflow, reduce stress, and boost productivity.

Let me walk you through how it works and why it's so powerful.

Batching = consistency

Batching tasks, in essence, involves grouping similar activities together and tackling them in a dedicated block of time.

Nothing groundbreaking there.

But when it comes to content repurposing content consistently batching becomes a necessary strategy.

I used to try and hammer everything I could within my day. But the constant switching between tasks not only became exhausting, but it also made me unproductive.

I knew I had several pieces I wanted to get out from a podcast episode, but when I spread them throughout the week, rather than blocking out time to do it all at once, it made the entire process drag out ten times longer than it needed to.

That's where batching comes in.

I started dedicating one day a week to repurpose my content into social content and emails.

This let me get more done in 4 hours than I was previously doing in an entire week. Because I was able to optimize my setup time and mindshare for the project.

Batching lets you get into the zone, and your performance naturally improves as you roll from one piece of content to the next.

Find your energy

One of the tricks to successful batching is strategic timing. Align your content creation batches with your energy levels.

If you're most creative in the mornings (like me), batch your most demanding creative tasks then.

If you hit a stride with editing in the afternoon, carve out that time for post-production work.

Remember, the idea is to leverage batching to not only work smarter, but also to make sure you enjoy the process and do it consistently.

Build your plan ahead

Another technique that goes hand in hand with batching is planning ahead.

Planning sets the stage for effective batching.

If you know what's coming down the pipeline, you can batch accordingly and ensure you're never caught off guard.

For example, if you're planning a new blog launch, you could batch the creation of all micro-content in advance. Then after the blog launches, you have an army of content that you can use to support it.

When I first dove into batching, it was overwhelming.

I felt like I needed the perfect plan. But you don't need a perfect plan.

Just a plan.

Then you can make tweaks and adjustments from there.

The beauty of batching is that it can evolve and scale with your workflow.

Have a great week 👊

Justin
