Welcome to the February 8th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.
The Story of My Week.
First things first.
This was a week that I didn’t do a lot of devotional time. This is not what I want to make a norm of.
My devotional time is even more important during this season.
It is my time for deepening the anchor I have to my source - GOD.
The calling for me to live in the supernatural during this season of life requires more listening than I used to.
Yes, my devotional time is not just about marking time with spiritual disciplines. It is about deepening my roots.
The deeper the roots, the stronger my growth and the richer my fruit.
Deeper so I can hear God better and more.
This is going to be one of my finest seasons of life.
Because of who I'm becoming.
And all I do as a result is who I am becoming.
Things I Learnt
1-Standing for Things Getting Better: On Monday, I had to push for something at my office.
I spent the weekend prepping for it.
Why?
Because I am doing things differently now.
I am not just relying on the wisdom God has given me. I am bringing in the supernatural power of God.
My prepping was to set myself up for bringing the supernatural even in the regular things I would handle at work.
This gives me more confidence. Confidence that God will work out things according to the desires.
I am fully merging the regular with the supernatural. I started seeing results from my supernatural-backed office matter.
And I will keep standing on things getting better.
In the workplace
Doing it supernaturally
2-Showing up to do the Work: Someone reached out to me this week. He was referred to me by someone else who said I would be the best person to talk to regarding the next stage of his career.
An interesting thing is that I don’t even know the person who referred me to him. He mentioned the name, but it wasn’t one I was familiar with.
But one thing was clear, showing up and doing the work every day compounds.
People will remember the work when they need help.
My job is to never stop showing up. Always show up to do the work.
Plant the seeds, nurture them every day and wait for the fruit.
They come in their season.
Postscript
May you remain faithful in doing the work, no matter the season. Amen
If this encouraged you, please share it with a friend who needs it. And if you are not subscribed yet, make sure you are on the list so you do not miss the next one.
