Make Room for the Supernatural | Faith & Life Lessons

image

Welcome to the January 2nd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

Howdy ,

This week, I’m seeing God at work through me.

This is a year not only to work through the wisdom God has given me.

But also through the supernatural power of God.

I saw that at play.

Here’s the story of my week.

The Story of My Week.

One of the things I decided on towards the end of 2025 was to do a 3-week training for the teams I oversee at work.

In developing the curriculum in December 2025, I wanted an expression of my Christian faith at some point in time during the training.

The program for Day 1 fitted perfectly for that.

No, I didn’t give an altar call or anything like that. I just spoke about my values and how I defined my faith value into every aspect of my life.

Someone came to meet me after the training, and she was touched to see that God was a big part of my life. A week later, we had a meeting during which she wanted some clarification on some things.

Our conversation went into Christian faith matters. Well, something more happened. She said as I spoke, she felt some things break in her mind and her heart. She was experiencing new freedom.

I knew it was God at work.

His supernatural power was solving problems. It would not be my wisdom at play but God’s power in play.

I love this season.

I step out daily, asking God to bring His supernatural power.

Things I Learnt

1-Resetting My Body: I noticed a few things this week when it comes to my body. I start the morning powered up.

By 12 noon, I start dropping momentum, and it continues like that till about 2 pm - 3 pm.

From about 3 pm, I start building another energy high with peaks as I get to the end of the day. I feel energised to just keep going on.

I know my circadian rhythm, and this is not far from what I already know.

What is surprising is the level of drop in the energy levels from 12 noon. I now struggle to do any strategic work during that time. In the past, I was OK with a slower pace during that time.

Now, it’s more than even a slower pace. My body almost prefers to be left to its own.

I tried a few things during the week, but I still found the reset button.

I’ll be focusing on this in the coming days.

I have to get my performance levels back.

2-When I Let God Move: My prayer is evolving. Instead of just praying, “God have your way, today”, I am actively looking for opportunities to “Create space for God to move.”

It’s like the old-time revivalists who, at some point during their evangelistic meetings, would say, “Holy Spirit, move in this place now.” And people would start experiencing healing and miracles.

My spiritual director told me that this is a season where I have to do a lot more of heaven-down listening, so I know when I should give way to the supernatural power of God.

It also means that I have to manage everything in my life well enough so that I can listen to God more clearly.

Much stress means I can’t hear Him well enough. I want to hear Him well.

And let Him move in.

Postscript

May you create more room for God to move through you. Amen
