Welcome to the January 18th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.
Howdy ,
This week, I noticed God drawing me into a new rhythm.
Less autopilot. More listening.
Less solving. More surrender.
Here’s the story of my week.
The Story of My Week.
How do you diminish the use of something that is good? Especially, if it’s also part of the package from God
This is the season I am living in
God has given wisdom. This allows me to come up with solutions.
But this new season requires me to live in the supernatural experience that God creates.
Literally, I need to let go of the wisdom God has given me in some situations and wait rather for God’s supernatural intervention.
More than that, I need to learn to listen more so I can know what God wants for each season.
There is a time for me to use wisdom as a gift from God.
And there is a time to let God bring a supernatural intervention through me.
I feel this is a time more for the later.
It will demand more from me.
Like learning how to play a new instrument, I choose to start like a novice.
Even if I already have some insight.
This is God’s time to shine in a new way in my life.
Things I Learnt
1-There are Change Opportunities in Workplace: I put together a training for my team this week. I extended the training to many more people across my company.
Some took it up. It was good to have them in the session.
The training is very much part of my vision for raising people who choose to win at work and in life.
Ye, I believe it is possible to achieve great outcomes in our careers without burning out in other areas of our life.
Instead of only focusing on only the paid audience that attend my trainings, I put this one together for free for the company.
I am using the opportunity to raise people who can live this in the workplace even if they are not paying my.
Why?
Because I believe the results will speak for itself.
And the change will create a greater impact. This is what I am always looking for opportunities to do.
2-How I Relax: Someone asked me during a training, “How do you relax?”
For them, the volume of output through out across work and my practice is a sure sign that I am always on the go-go-go-go.
But this is not the case.
I relax differently from others. One thing I learnt from living in Spain is not to bottle up your stress level.
These people released it now and again. They didn’t wait for a holiday to some exotic place to do that.
This became an extension of the rest rhythm I was building for myself.
Create consistent & intermittent relaxation cycles for myself for resting.
Postscript
May you live in rest that God gives as you labour for the best. Amen
If this encouraged you, please share it with a friend who needs it. And if you are not subscribed yet, make sure you are on the list so you do not miss the next one.
