Welcome to the November 16th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
During the week, I felt my faith ebb low.
Why?
I can't really give you a specific answer. Well, no need to dwell on why it happened. I focused on addressing it.
I got myself into the fine of faith boosters. I got myself into these two books: "The Happiest People on Earth: The long awaited personal story of Demos Shakarian by Elizabeth Sherrill & John Sherrill,” and "I believe in Miracles by Kathryn Kulman.”
These were books filled with faith experiences, which I used to rebuild my faith perspective of God.
On Saturday, listening to a sermon preached by Bishop David Oyedepo at the 30th year anniversary celebration of the Daystar Christian Church in Nigeria was the coup de grace.
By the end of the weekend, my vision was seeing things better.
My faith is now better positioned to walk the new heights God has measured for me.
Things I Learnt
1-When God Answers Your Frustrations: At some point during the week, I felt the weight of comparison.
I don’t know if it happens to you, but it happened to me.
A part of me wondered if I had not underutilised the opportunities I have had in life to achieve more financially and materially.
I wondered if I had not been "under-fruitful."
God responded to answer these growing frustrations.
His answer: My life is being used to write a different story.
According to the script of the story, I was faithful to the gifts and opportunities I have been given.
The story of life we write is God’s story woven across the tapestry of time. And we show up to live up to the part of the story we have been assigned.
And our reward for living up to the story assigned to us? "Well done, good and faithful servant"
2-A Simple Way to Work: A lady who works in another team brought some issues to my attention
She was hoping that I would decide on the next course of action.
Not me. I told her to do that.
We didn’t get to that point quickly. It took a bit of jab-and-duck before we got there.
She said something afterwards, You have a different leadership style.
It’s pretty simple. I let people who have the best view of the problem make the decision. I only step in when there are gaps which people are not addressing in making their decision.
But I don’t make their decisions for them.
Postscript
May your life show people how they should live to honour God. Amen
