Welcome to the November 2nd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
During a call with my spiritual director, I shared with him something I had been reflecting on for the past few days.
I can’t remember the last time I led a convert to Christ.
It seems like I have become so used to living in a “Christian Bubble”.
I am connecting less and less with non-believers.
Or rather, I am becoming less interested in the fate of their immortal soul.
I have to recover my love for God.
Better put, I have to recover God’s love for the lost all over again.
This love used to get me to preach in public buses (yes, I was one of those bus preachers) in my younger days.
I used to take walks on the street, looking for non-believers to preach to.
All those seem to be past stories.
But they are stories I want to reclaim in my life again.
I want to be wise again.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives….Proverbs 11:30.
Things I Learnt
1-The Simple Rule for Prosperity: There is a way that God wants me to show up to succeed at work and in my practice.
Over time, I have received different instructions. But they all tell a simple, consistent story.
There is a simple rule for prosperity.
What have I come to understand about prosperity?
The prosperity I am chasing after is this - My prosperity is to have all I need to live the life God has called me to, serving the people He has brought to me in a way that honours Him, without lacking anything in body, soul & spirit.
It is simple and a Mount Everest.
Why?
Because I have to remind myself to live by the simple rule God sets for me at a time.
And to be consistent in living by the rule.
No matter how others live differently.
2-Peace Without Complacency: The first question my spiritual director asked during our call this week was this: “How are you doing in your spiritual walk?”
My answer? “I am at peace but not complacent.”
I am in a state of taking action, not just taking simple actions, but actions bigger than what I have taken before.
I am taking these actions from a place of peace.
This is why I told him I am at peace but not complacent.
I have a sense of peace that drives me to go up and take a mountain with little or no fear because I know God is in it.
A peace not for complacency but for going up to take on new acts of courage in God’s name.
Postscript
May you live with peace and courage to do all God has called you into. Amen
