Some years back, I got an invite to come and speak at a Christian fellowship for undergraduate students.
While introducing me, The president of the fellowship said she had been reading my emails. My emails had given her a stronger conviction of how she was going to show up at work after graduation.
She now saw herself as a workplace missionary. Work was going to be a platform for her to live out her faith and honor God.
I was happy to hear that.
Interesting that is the only thing I remember from that day.
I don't even remember what I spoke about....#winkwink.
What she said is something that has undergirded everything I do.
Now I want to do it differently.
It's OK to have expectations for people. The problem for most people is "how do they live out these expectations?"
I believe that as Christian Business professionals, we are difference makers at work.
We show up every day to bring our Christ-focused answers to the questions that we face at work.
Beyond that, we show up to multiply everything we have been given to work with.
Most of us have not been taught how to do that.
And this is what I am going to be focusing on.
