Faith & Life Lessons – September 21, 2025

Welcome to the September 21st edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

There are some stories that fascinate me so much in the Bible that I want to aspire to live up to the people in the stories.

One of such is the account of Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:19: “The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground. “

I want to have that level of integrity with God that He protects the words I say.

This is not a fresh aspiration for me.

It’s just that this week, I put that to the test.

I gave my word on something, and I am trusting God to make sure it does not fall to the ground.

Why?

Because the journey to where we are is because of God. So, I am expressing confidence in the whole narrative He is building for me.

Interestingly, I don’t have fears about the outcome.

I have become more confident in God’s ability to create His own outcomes.

And I am growing in my desire to speak only words that match His planned outcomes.

So He never lets my words fall to the ground.

Practicing that now.

Things I Learnt

1-Beware Your Experience: Someone asked me to review a presentation during the week. The first thing I saw when I opened the presentation was a collection of facts without context.

He was leaving too much to the imagination of the audience he was sending the presentation to.

When I gave my feedback, his feedback was simply, “This is the best way to deliver such stuff.”

I could understand his worldview. His professional experience is working with numbers - mostly numbers.

That creates an approach. Let the numbers do the talking. Present the numbers and people will get it.

I know that world. I came from there.

When I left that world, my new boss had issues with my first set of presentations. I was letting the numbers do the talking.

No. I needed to set the context for my audience to understand the numbers.

The context or framing I set determines much.

I am glad I discovered that early enough.

And that is why I keep trying to broaden my experience and not be tied down to one past experience.

2-Celebrating Little Miracles: On Saturday night, I wasn’t feeling 100%. I told my wife I might not be able to make it to church.

But I wanted to go to church.

I didn’t have any special responsibility at church, and neither was it a special event. But I felt the excuse of not feeling fully fit should not keep me from church.

Why?

Because there are days I have not felt 100% and still went to work.

But I wasn’t going to ignore my body.

I did the best thing I could do. I asked God for stronger health to attend the church service.

I am grateful for little miracles because God did that. I woke up stronger and drove the family the church.

There are always simple moments when God wants me to exercise my faith.

I guess this was one of them.

Postscript

May you always take advantage of the big challenges God gives you to exercise your faith in what He has told you. Amen
