Faith & Life Lessons | When God Meets God's Requests

image

Welcome to the July 12th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

.

We are the crazy ones.

Why did I say this?

Because there is a revelation of God that God has given to those who don't have a pulpit office.

What we teach sometimes sounds foreign and out-of-this-world.

But it is for this world.

I was listening to one of us this past week. Most of what he said was not new to me...it was to some people in the audience.

What was new to me was how he had lived out some aspects of the message.

I learnt from him and picked up one of his practices to adopt.

One of the comments from the audience was that, "this felt like a discipleship class"

I understand.

The problem is that most of our churches have been set up for one of the ministries of the ministry gifts of men. And it's mostly pastors.

The other ministries - teacher, evangelist, apostles and prophets- are kept on the sidewalk.

Thanks to God's blessing of the Internet, there is a platform for all of them outside the traditional church.

More than that, we can all spread the message that God wants to fill the earth with.

Listening to the brother I spoke about also stirred me up to do all I can do with all the gifts I have been given.

We are the crazy ones.

Let's not keep ourselves hidden.

Things I Learned

1-People Before Process: I have always held that no matter how good a system is, great people make them better.

Not-so-good people will ruin any good system.

Having to work on something where I am working with a new person.

The difference is clear.

The new guy has a better grasp of what needs to be done.

No matter how good a process is, without the right person, it might as well feel like a tooth extraction.

Get the right person, and it can be a painless process.

2-God Answers His Requests: At the beginning of this year, I got an unusual goal added to my list of goals.

I believe it was a God goal.

Why?

It was not on my to-do list.

This week, God made it happen.

I went through the whole process with a smile because I was confident that God answers His requests.

I saw that happen this week.

God answered His request.

Showing that He can meet His needs.

Postscript

May you find peace in knowing that God meets the needs of His demands. Amen
