Faith & Life Lessons | God Who Rewards Righteousness

Welcome to the July 5th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

.

The second half of 2026 has officially begun.

What the end of 2026 would look like will come from how we spend the next 6 months.

This is not pressure…this is anticipation.

We are not spectators in the story of our life. We are part creators, and part audience.

We are part creators because God wants to do what He has planned through our lives with us.

We are part audience because there is a part of what He has planned through our lives that we can do nothing about.

That is all up to His sovereignty.

This is the mystery and the wonder.

Knowing the difference.

Knowing when we should work and when we should watch.

The remaining months of 2026 will not burn me out.

No…I will live in wisdom.

God's wisdom. Understanding when I should work and when I should watch.

2026 is going to be as beautiful as God's promises for me.

And I believe the same for you.

Things I Learned

1-When We Have To Kick in the Head: I got some marvelous push back when I decided to make people sit up at work.

What happened?

I am forcing people to do more work than they think they should be doing.

So, they think.

Here is the situation.

Instead of doing the work of speaking with their colleagues and finding the answers, they are asking me.

Why?

Because the boss always knows everything.

It just happens that this boss also knows that if I solve this for you now, you will not learn how to solve it for yourself.

It's hard work to try and change a ship committed to one course of action.

I realised one thing…if you are patient, you can get the biggest ship to change course.

This week was a first step. I hope it leads to more.

And better outcomes.

2-Righteousness Does Not Pay: Righteousness does not pay. It is God that rewards our righteousness, and how we will be rewarded is up to Him.

Righteousness is the first reward for righteousness. Living righteously is first an expression of the life of God in us.

It is being like God.

That is its reward itself.

I am not going to say anything more.

I am still centring myself in this lesson.

Postscript

May God remember your sacrifice and reward you in His time. Amen
