Faith & Life Lessons – March 30, 2025

image

Welcome to the March 30th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

This was an interesting week for me.

Interesting because of how it started

About two days into the week, I felt emotionally overwhelmed.

The kind that pushes you to the emotional edge.

I came back from the edge.

I made a decision to stay off the edge.

Permanently

I opened a gratitude book. Yes, a physical one.

And I have been filling it with things I’m grateful for.

I haven’t done this much handwriting in years at a time.

Yes, it’s a world of typing.

I’m going old-school as part of my therapy.

And it’s doing wonders for me.

I’m going to keep at this for as long as I keep filling the book.

As a bonus, I’m catching up on handwriting practice.

I’m loving the whole experience.

Things I Learnt

1-Faithfully Doing Before Results: I had a wake-up call over the weekend

There was something God had asked me to do. I started and stopped.

Stopped because I thought I would not get the results that such actions come it.

God reminded me - I am called to faithfully do as He has asked. Even if I’m not seeing results.

I’m called to be faithful.

And let God be the one who decides what results He wants from my faithful actions.

2-Playing Today’s Game on Old Rules: I had a little back and forth with a team during the week.

They were doing today's business using yesterday’s rules.

And they don’t seem to see it.

This is one of the things that keep businesses from transitioning well during changing times.

People in it don’t see that the rules have changed.

This is one of the things that keeps me learning. I don’t want to miss out on things that have changed in the game I am playing.

I have made a few slips in the past. That’s why I’m more committed to being on the money nowadays.

Playing today’s game using today's rules.

Postscript

May you live faithfully doing what needs to be done every day. Amen
