Faith & Life Lessons – March 9, 2025

image

Welcome to the March 9th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

During the week, I had the opportunity to give a taste of my medicine to someone else.

It was with one of my clients.

When someone has an impossible goal, what do you do?

Well, I have an impossible goal and I have seen God show up on the way as I take steps to achieve it.

After my client and I explored practical steps, I decided to take it in another direction.

Once their Christian faith was confirmed, I advised them to consider taking the impossible goal to God.

Why?

Because sometimes impossible goals are God’s way of getting our attention to trust in the resources that only He can provide.

Yes.

And I hope to see the same thing happen in this situation.

Things I Learnt

1-Living Too Normal: I was listening to a Francis Chan sermon this week and what he said caught my attention.

He wondered if as Christians we were not living by what we claim we have access to.

Are we living Supernatural or Superficial?

Supernatural means we are doing stuff outside the realms of our natural ability.

It goes beyond natural talents, charisma or skills.

It is Holy Spirit empowered.

This is what I want to live like now.

I don’t want to live Normal.

I don’t want to live superficially claiming that I have the Holy Spirit in me.

I want to live fully alive.

By the power of the Holy Spirit.

2-When You Know Matters More to God: I had to make an important staffing decision during the week.

To make the final decision, it came down to one question, “Who is going to help the team become better and achieve results faster.”

I was also going to ask God about it.

Guess what?

He wanted me to make the decision.

Why?

I was at a level of spiritual and personal responsibility that making such decisions was my responsibility.

To whom much is given, much is expected.

And I live by that.

Postscript

May you show up every day serving to the best of all your abilities. Amen
