Faith & Life Lessons – March 2, 2025

image

Welcome to the March 2nd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

The biggest lesson I am learning during this season is to trust God for the big things He has asked me to do and not be stressed about it.

Yes.

During the week, I had something I had to get over the finish line by Friday.

By Wednesday, nothing was on the horizon.

The typical me is to have plans A, B and C. And probably a couple more in the kitty.

God made it clear to me that I was not to have any backup plan.

So, I didn’t put any in place.

I was to trust Him that the main plan I was working with would come through.

It did come through.

Very late on Friday.

Through it all, I was calm.

I realised - I am living the life.

The life I am called to live.

Trust God for the big plan and follow Him calmly through the whole process.

There are still more on the way.

I am ready to follow.

How You lead, O God.

Things I Learnt

1 - When God Reminds You: Something happened during the week which was God’s way of reminding me that I am hearing His voice during this season of life.

I had my watch-the-stars-Abraham moment this week.

God set up a situation where He called the outcome before the end.

And the outcome turned out the way He called it.

The whole situation was part of building my faith to hold on to the bigger things He has spoken to me.

Reminding me.

Encouraging me.

There is something more to run into.

2 - Free But Expensive: I have had some people reach out to me at my office asking for me to serve as a mentor for them.

Not a bad idea.

I already do that in my practice.

But this is with a twist. I am doing it for free with them.

Free does not mean cheap.

I was listening to Myron Golden during the week and heard him say something he had said a few times in the past.

He only puts up for free teachings that he would charge for.

Yep.

He gives out for free something costly.

And that is what I am going to do with the guys at work I will be mentoring.

I will develop a paid mentoring plan and do it for free.

This is our kingdom identity.

This is how we serve.

Postscript

May you live your life for a higher purpose than survival and recognition. Amen
