Welcome to the February 23rd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
I felt a bit overwhelmed this week.
A part of me was wondering how I was going to do all that I wanted to do.
It had not reached the headless chicken position.
I think the problem was more tied to me wanting to see results faster.
Saturday morning, I woke up to ask myself - what am I going after?
It turns out, I only have 3 goals.
Just 3
So with just these 3 in mind, I came up with a simple way of keeping myself on them without the overwhelm.
Yes, I am committed to my goals in a repeatable and sustainable way.
It’s not just a case of achieving the goals.
It’s achieving the goals in a way that is consistent with who I am without breaking who I am.
I am going to make a success of my goals.
And make a success of who I am along the way.
Things I Learnt
1 - Helpers for a Dream: During the week, someone reached out to me to help out in some way with a particular idea I was working on.
I thought about the situation and realised - it’s important to step out and let people know what you are working on.
The idea will find people who would like to work with you on it.
We just have to step out in courage.
Now I am more motivated to step out with more ideas.
There will always be supporters for a great idea.
2 - Never Failing Word: Something fascinates me from the story of the prophet Samuel in the Bible.
The Bible records “The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.” 1 Samuel 3:19
The verse means that God protected Samuel's words and communications and that everything he said came true.
When I read the Bible, I don’t just see what has been - I see what can be.
I want to have that kind of Samuel-God relationship.
Another version puts it like this, “As Samuel grew up, the LORD was with him, and everything Samuel said proved to be reliable.”
I want to be so invested in God that He is invested in me to the point of making sure “none of my words fall to the ground.”
I am on a quest for this.
Postscript
May you live to achieve your goals without losing yourself on the way. Amen
