Welcome to the April 5th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.
The Story of My Week.
I loved this week
Why?
Because I live more into the gift that God has planted in me.
You are probably wondering, "What have you been doing all this time?
Well, there is a measure by which I have been living. And there is now a measure by which I am living.
I am choosing to live by a greater measure.
So, what does this mean in practical terms?
I am leaning more into the people I have been called to serve.
How am I doing that?
By doing everything more in line with the way I see the world and see God at work.
And doing it in a way that they will listen and change.
In everything, the end game for me is to disciple…this is where the money ball is
At work, my practice, the ministry, service to my country…I’m discipling… bringing something more.
This week…I tapped more into it.
I am living more into my service life.
Things I Learnt
1-Courage to Fight: I took on the responsibility to fight for something important to me this week at work.
Instead of just complaining in the background.
It takes courage.
But it is better to fight than to stay in silence and wonder.
I am not making assumptions. I am fighting to hear. Fighting for a change because I’m worth it
The office is a place to prove ourselves…when we forget this, we become unremarkable.
I choose to be remarkable.
And so, I choose to fight.
2-When God is Silent: God was silent on a couple of things…things I needed to make decisions on.
When God is silent, I pivot to what I know He has spoken that is close to the situation I am facing.
I am not assuming…I am working with and remaining faithful to the last thing God has said that goes with what I am currently going through.
I trust that God will make things clearer if I am going the wrong direction.
Because I am more confident in His desire for me to get things right.
I choose to believe that when God is silent…He is not really silent.
He is asking me to be faithful to what He has already said.
Postscript
May you never hear God’s silence as God’s disinterest in you. Amen
If this encouraged you, please share it with a friend who needs it. And if you are not subscribed yet, make sure you are on the list so you do not miss the next one.
