Faith & Life Lessons | God in the Background

Welcome to the March 29th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

The height of this week has been the weekend.

I am spending the weekend at a curated mastermind experience.

It’s a blend of professional, personal, spiritual and national impact focus.

Due to the confidentiality agreement we signed, I can’t tell you anything about the whole experience.

The whole experience is a reminder that when the time is right, God will create a community around you for the next phase of your life.

As long as you remain committed to a faithful walk with Him.

There have been different themes running through my head at the end of each day.

On Friday, it was Community.

Why?

Because I have found a community of people who resonate with what resonates with me for a greater mission.

On Saturday, it was Re-Awakening & Re-Affirming.

Why?

Because I have found further confirmation that my approach to pursuing the spiritual life is not out of the ordinary to a few.

A few that I belong to.

Sunday? I will discover that by the end of the day.

The beauty about all these is not just the 3 days together. It is the relationship that I develop with the rest of my group.

And the person who brought us all together.

He is at a stage in life where he is to pour out himself and share his life with us.

A great season to come into his inner circle.

This is what He is offering us.

Grateful to God for this opportunity.

Things I Learnt

1-Be Prepared to be the Best: During the week, I was part of a workshop where the strategy for a business line was formed.

I added my thoughts at the different points during the session.

Most of the time, I framed my thoughts with a clear structure.

At one point, someone asked if I had prepared some of my answers prior to the meeting.

No.

I am just mindfully present to provide the best answers I can create.

I also take time to think about my thoughts. This helps me to develop a framework for presenting my thoughts.

Even in an unexpected setting.

2-Rhythm to Life: No matter how random things may look, there is a heavenly play in force.

Events during the week reaffirm this point of view.

For example, the mastermind I spent my weekend with? How I got into it was more than an act of serendipity.

I understood it as God at work.

A few more things in my practice?

God is playing the master orchestrator.

These encourage me to see more eternal value in the things I do.

Even the more mundane ones.

I don’t treat them as ordinary. They are now platforms for God to work His work through.

Postscript

May you see God at work in all your simple times. Amen
