Faith & Life Lessons | Made for a Time Like This

Welcome to the March 22nd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

Most of the week, I was still not fully fit. Recall that I was in the hospital when I wrote last week’s edition.

Well, the hospital did all the tests, and they found nothing. But I was still not feeling well.

One of the decisions I made while I was in the hospital was to start a 40-day fast.

I was not going to give myself an excuse not to start. Even if my body was telling me something else.

So I started as I had purposed.

One week is done.

I am getting better.

I know that my 40-day consecration is going to be part of building God’s acceleration for the next quarter for me.

I am doing it not just for myself.

I am doing it for my family, my practice, my ministry, the people I work with and the people I will serve out there.

I will be faithful.

Things I Learnt

1-Working for Results: I sat in a meeting where a group of people in the office made a presentation. My conclusion after listening to their presentation was that they were obsessed with their efforts.

They came up with a presentation that had about 90 slides, so they could show, “We really put a lot of work into this.”

Unfortunately, the presentation could have been done with 20 slides or fewer.

They were not thinking about getting to the results; they were thinking about themselves.

A recipe for not getting noticed.

I told them this.

Because I wanted them to get better.

Focusing more on results

2-For a Time Like This: During the week, I got to speak as part of a panel session at The Workplace Outlook 2026.

After my session, I had people come to me to tell me how much they appreciated the things I shared.

Someone even said, “You are very deep.”

I know better.

I am prepared for a time like this.

I carry the spiritual & the secular as one. I speak in the power of the Holy Spirit in non-church platforms because that is my calling.

I am called to represent God everywhere.

Every platform.

I am here for such a time as this.

Postscript

May you stand out in these times. Amen
