Welcome to the October 26th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
Never make excuses.
One of the things I had planned to do this week was to do a live virtual teaching.
The only thing is that my week went at high speed.
I had external commitments, work commitments and all the kids falling ill.
Life happens, and I could excuse myself not to doing it.
I am all for keeping the main thing the main thing.
If I have to focus on weightier matters like family, I have no issues with that.
But this was not one of those times when it was an “either-or” situation. Rather, it was an “in spite of” situation.
So in spite of all the things thrown at me, I still went forward with the training.
It was not as perfect as I would want it to be, but it was done. Why was “done” more important than “perfect”?
Because this training is going to be the first of many more to come.
Each one perfects the one before it.
There will not be a perfect one. They will just be perfect for the moment.
As they keep getting perfected
On the road to perfection.
Things I Learnt
1-The Demand for the Moment: I sat in on a job interview. There were two candidates. This was the final stage. There were three of us on the panel.
At the end, I preferred a different candidate than to one whom the others in the panel wanted.
I took the time to explain my reason. The candidate I preferred would raise the thinking in that team by 3x - 5x. The other candidate will get the job done - no frills.
The team had been saddled with the responsibility to multiply their results.
Based on that objective, my choice was clear.
The rest of the panel started to see my perspective.
This is what it means to live from your goals. When you set your goals clearly, you can see who you need to have on your side to reach those goals.
That’s what I hope the team lead, who was also on the panel, could see from my explanations.
2-God of all of me: During my devotional time, God called my attention to a certain aspect of my life.
It had to do with my body.
This was a reminder that He is God of all of me.
Even though I manage my body matters to Him.
I have to do what He says.
Because He is also watching me in that area.
Postscript
May you live faithfully, remembering that God is God of every part of your life. Amen
