Faith & Life Lessons | God of Eternity in Time

Welcome to the September 27th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email is full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

It's interesting how much one discovers about oneself when people can ask the questions.

I was invited to be part of a podcast.

The interview focused on my experience across business growth, housing finance and real estate.

The questions were asked live, not based on a prepared list of questions.

The whole experience reminded me of the need to live an evaluated life.

A life where we regularly evaluate our experiences and create learning from them.

I didn't just share from my experiences - I shared from my evaluated learning in a structured way.

The discussion ended going on for almost 2 and a half hours.

My answers were a clear case of you only getting true wisdom from a person when you ask better questions.

Even I gained additional insights into the value of stuff in me.

I hope their audience enjoys the episode as much as I did.

Things I Learned

1-Documenting Life Lessons & Ideas: I was part of a business training this weekend hosted by Leke Alder

The training was more reminding than teaching.

One of the things I was reminded more about was the need to consistently curate my ideas.

Beyond curating them, it is also about creating space to think through the lessons and ideas.

Thinking should lead to codifying it. Codifying makes it easy to reuse the lessons or teach them.

And on occasion, monetise them.

I haven't been doing a lot of that recently.

But I need to do this more. Write my ideas and think through my ideas.

I believe my ideas have the power to transform someone out there.

And help someone build a better life or organisation.

2-When God Speaks: During the meeting with my spiritual director, we talked about the inability to understand how God fulfils His word over us.

The biggest thing is really God's perception of time.

He sees time in eternity, while we as humans see it as fixed points.

For example, when God told Abraham that he would be the father of nations, He said it from eternity.

How?

Because by the time Abraham died, the reality of his descendants was so far from that.

The fulfilment of this prophecy is ongoing...that's right. More than thousands of years later, it has still not been fully fulfilled.

It is a prophecy in fulfilment.

That is how God sees things.

This is how we should see things.

And walk with Him every day, following Him as He leads.

In steps.

Postscript

May God give you the patience to wait for Him. Amen
