3-Point Thursday #260

Hey,
Before 10am on a Thursday, who dis?!
This week's 3-pointer:
đ London Lions assistant Andrea Boreland passes away
The British basketball community was rocked last week with the sudden passing of Andrea Boreland. I can't say enough good things about Andrea and everything she did for the game, especially in London - there wasn't an event she wouldn't be helping out at and personally, has been huge with the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic since its inception in 2014 - I don't think the event would have taken place this year if it wasn't for her. I owe her a lot, and I think I speak for everyone when I say she will be sorely missed.
đ Work at Clapham Common is underway
You may remember a little over a year ago, Foot Locker announced their Raise The Game campaign, part of which involves partnering with Hoopsfix and Basketball England to renovate Clapham Common basketball courts. The work finally started last month! It's been 3 years in the making, and is incredible to see it finally coming together. I'm doing weekly visits at the moment and it's starting to look legit - we're hoping it will all be ready to launch in November. Follow the progress on Instagram @claphamcommoncourt.
đ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż Basketball Wales launch first ever national league
Great to see Basketball Wales making moves with the creation of their first ever men's national league competition - with plans down the road to add in women and juniors - it's a positive step forward and hopefully one that will only strengthen the game and future GB teams!
That wraps up another drop, as always, hit reply with any questions, comments or anything else!
With gratitude,
Sam
