3-Point Thursday #261

Oct 17, 2021 12:18 pm

Hey,

Happy Sunday morning to ya!

This week's 3-pointer:

🌍 London Lions pull off historic wins double

Both the London Lions men's and women's teams made their mark with a little bit of history this week, as the men became the first British men’s team to win a European game for over a decade as they beat Donar Groningen 60-79 on the road in their FIBA Europe Cup debut, whilst the women left it late to pull off an impressive 78-81 triumph away at Rutronik Stars Keltern in their EuroCup regular season opener, thanks to a decisive three from Jo Leedham-Warner. Big-time wins that can hopefully be built upon as their European campaigns continue.

πŸ—» RJ Eytle-Rock settling in at USU

Carrying on from our features last season looking at Brits in college, Greg Mitchell spoke to RJ Eytle-Rock who has made the switch to Utah State from UMBC this year, as he prepares to play in front of the famous crowds at The Spectrum.

πŸ€ Clapham Common renovation continues

Have been spending a fair amount of my time down at Clapham Common over the past week or so, as progress continues on the renovation in partnership with Foot Locker, the NBA, and Basketball England. The paint has started to go down and it's looking great! Expecting a little weather delay this week, but right now on track for launch in November - exciting times! Be sure to follow the progress @claphamcommoncourt.

That wraps up another drop, as always hit reply with any questions, thoughts or anything else.

With gratitude,

Sam
